The Care Calendar

Building a Seasonal Service System

In most service businesses, the calendar is reactionary. Snow falls — they post online. Leaves pile up — they get overwhelmed. Pipes freeze — they’re already four houses behind.

That doesn’t work.

Not in Saskatchewan.
Not for seniors.
Not for commercial clients.
Not for anyone who expects their property to hold its value without sudden emergencies.

So we built something better.

The Good Hands Care Calendar is not a to-do list. It’s a pre-engineered, full-spectrum, trust-secure operating system that ensures your home or facility is always in season, always in check, and always ahead of what’s coming.

You never have to remember what’s next.
You never have to guess if it got done.

We’ve already scheduled it.

The Four-Season Framework

We organise all property care across four primary seasons — each with its own mandates, prep windows, and critical checklists.

1. Winter

  • Weekly snow and ice response
  • Freeze risk walkthroughs
  • Pipe temperature checks and heating system inspection
  • Driveway and path access maintenance
  • Emergency readiness: storm prep, fuel check, generator test
  • Holiday staging or takedown (upon request)
Key Risk We Eliminate: ice damming, frozen pipes, unshovelled liability

2. Spring

  • Full thaw inspection: roof, siding, foundation, grading
  • Eavestrough cleaning and drainage tests
  • Lawn and landscape restart
  • Storm prep and wind damage repair
  • Spring cleaning interior and exterior reset
Key Risk We Eliminate: water ingress, foundation damage, winter neglect

3. Summer

  • Weekly lawn care and edging
  • Deck, fence, and structure maintenance
  • Insect control check and property perimeter sweep
  • A/C and ventilation check
  • Outbuilding and garage inspection
Key Risk We Eliminate: overgrowth, pest intrusion, mechanical failure

4. Fall

  • Full winterization: hoses, vents, seals, heat lines
  • Roofline and insulation check
  • Gutter cleanout and downspout direction
  • Lawn shutdown and yard debris removal
  • Snow equipment inspection and prep
Key Risk We Eliminate: early freeze damage, roof weight, airflow issues

Timed Walkthroughs and Checkpoints

Each member — whether residential or commercial — is assigned a service cadence:

  • Basic Members get full seasonal walkthroughs aligned with each calendar shift.
  • Premium Members are checked weekly, with season-specific items slotted proactively.

Dani manages the scheduling, our operators handle the work, and every action is logged, photographed, and documented.

No guessing. No waiting. No scrambling.

Holiday & Event Prep

For properties that host guests or customers — homes, rentals, clinics, cafés — we offer timed enhancements:

  • Holiday light install/removal
  • Event day snow clearance or lawn sweep
  • Garbage removal before or after large family weekends
  • Front-of-house presentation touch-ups

Just let us know. We’ll fit it into your care rhythm.

Why This Matters

Most property damage doesn’t come from freak disasters. It comes from slow neglect. Things left unchecked. Seasons skipped. Little breakdowns that grow into big expenses.

With Good Hands, that cycle is broken.

  • No more remembering what needs to happen before the frost.
  • No more wondering if you should call someone about that crack.
  • No more panic when snow hits or gutters overflow.

We already saw it.
We already scheduled it.
We already took care of it.

This Is the Utility

The Care Calendar is your invisible net. Your seasonal defence. Your silent operator.

And it’s only available to members.

Stay ahead of the season.

You’re in Good Hands.
