What We Fix, What We Flag, What We Refer

Drawing the Line — and Holding It
The most dangerous contractor is the one who says yes to everything.
The one who nods, charges, half-delivers — then disappears when the roof still leaks or the furnace fails a month later.
That’s not how Good Hands works.
We don’t do everything.
We do the right things — ourselves, reliably.
We flag the rest.
And when needed, we refer only to trusted local specialists who’ve earned our trust by how they show up.
This is the three-lane model that protects every member:
1. What We Fix — In-House, On-Site, With Confidence
These are the jobs we do directly. Our core services.
Field-tested, margin-secure, and backed by visual documentation.
- Minor home repairs (door handles, faucets, trim)
- Seasonal maintenance (hoses, vents, gutters, lights)
- Property walkthroughs and condition checks
- Lawn care and snow clearing
- Garbage, storm cleanup, and holiday prep
- Small safety upgrades (grab bars, railings, outlet covers)
- Minor drywall, patching, or painting
- Light fixture replacement, screen repairs, etc.
These jobs are done by the same hands every time.
Local. Documented.
No bidding. No waiting. No guesswork.
If it’s on the list — it gets done. Cleanly. Correctly.
2. What We Flag — With Urgency, Detail, and Follow-Up
These are the issues we identify during service — but may not fix directly.
- Leaks in the foundation or roof
- Heating or cooling failure
- Water heater performance issues
- Rodent or pest activity
- Tree limb or roofing hazards
- Signs of mould or water damage
- Electrical panel risks
- Structural settling or window misalignment
We’re not licensed roofers, electricians, or plumbers.
But we’re the ones who find the problem first.
When we flag it, we:
- Log it in your Care Ledger with photo proof
- Alert you directly with severity, location, and context
- Recommend next steps and urgency level
- Help coordinate access and oversight if needed
You don’t need to chase the issue.
We already saw it.
We’re already on it.
3. What We Refer — Only When It’s Right, Only Who We Trust
Some jobs are out of scope. And we don’t fake it.
Instead, we refer — carefully and deliberately.
Here’s when we refer:
- Furnace or A/C replacement
- Electrical rework or panel upgrades
- Roof replacement or major leak repair
- Plumbing rerouting or septic issues
- Large-scale renovations
- Appliance repair or replacement
- Major landscaping or tree removal
- Pest control and abatement
- Pool/hot tub mechanical work
Who do we refer?
Only those who’ve done the work — cleanly, respectfully, and with integrity — for our team or our members before.
We don’t take kickbacks. We don’t pass the buck.
If we say a name, it’s because they’ve earned it.
We’ll help schedule. We’ll help oversee.
And we’ll log what gets done — in your record.
Why This Line Matters
Good Hands exists to eliminate uncertainty.
And pretending we can do everything would destroy the very trust we’re built on.
So we don’t.
We fix what we’re great at.
We flag what matters.
And we refer only when it’s the right thing for your safety, budget, and home.
The result?
You always know what’s happening.
You never chase a ghost.
And your property is protected by a real system — not just a handyman with a toolbox and a guess.
That’s the Good Hands standard.
Because your property isn’t generic.
Your care plan shouldn’t be either.
You’re in Good Hands.
